We have just received exciting news from Dr. Reuben Matalon, who discovered the Canavan gene: he is working with a researcher who has created the enzyme which Canavan children lack in a small enough form to pass through the blood-brain barrier in the cerebrospinal fluid. It appears this treatment has been extremely effective in mice. He believes that this could be the CURE for Canavan Disease, and has requested an inital payment of $25K from us to develop the enzyme for treatment in humans.
We need to raise as soon as possible a total of $75,000 to fund this research. Please click on the link at the top of the page to help fund this important work.

Hi All, I have updated the core engines of the website to use the latest software. Hopefully this will not affect the functionality of the website and you shouldn't notice any differences but if it does then please let me know.
