We have the chance to build an all-expenses paid week long trip to Disneyworld! We've never been and I would love some input from people who have been there. Room requirements, certain hotels, meal plan etc. We can pretty much choose what we need - help!!!!!

paul and harleegrace have been there pleaty of times we are thinking about going in aug for pauls 3rd bday.. vinny would love it ..paul was great with the weather and crowds the rides he loved they are soo plesant and nice there we went to guest services when we went to the park and told them about wheelchair access and they gave us a red card where we didnt have to wait in the long lines maybe 2-5 mins the most and the access for most of the rides paul wheelchair fit right on the ride it was amazing how many rides he got to go out we stayed on disney and rented a van we never got the meal plan i dunno how that goes about but we stayed at the value resort i dont suggest staying at the movie value resort it is a little cheap looking in the rooms but paul loved the all star value resort the rooms were amazing the services and housekeeping was great due to paul having accidents on the bed they were there in minutes to clean up the mess and they took everything and made the beds they insised we would done it but they are great the pools are heated so that was a plus and at the parks paul had his first visit button ask for one at the hotel or guest services and when paul wore his the employees at the park would come us as we are waiting in line or walking and they gave his pins the trading ones since it was his first visit so now he collects them he has over 100 now most of them were giving to him at the park about 30 were but the access for wheelchairs and the friendlness there is awesome i deff would suggest going if you have anymore questions i know the parks with my eyes closed haha

Hi Vinny

I hope you have a great time at Disneyworld!  So far we have only made it as far as Eurodisney.  One little tip I have from that trip which may apply to you at Disneyworld is Ben had his special badge/card so that he did not have to que on the rides but we found what we had to do was go to the exit of the rides so the staff could get us with his wheelchair past the que and that way the staff also spotted us in the busy crowds.  Customer services or at Eurodisney the town hall had lots more detailed info than just the general leaflets and notice boards about where certain characters would be at certain times etc. I bet if Vinny has some favourite characters they would be pleased to arrange for him to meet them.

Have fun!

Sally & Ben x
