Hi,

We struggle to brush Declan's teeth but we keep at it as we are also concerned about his dental health.  We use a battery operated vibrating tooth brush which helps.   We also try our best to distract or entertain him with songs or by brushing our teeth then his or even Elmos teeth then his.  We have been with a good dentist since about 18 months (Declan is 3.1/2 now) and we have a cleaning, check up and flouride sea appliesl which I am told lasts several weeks.   Keep at it.  I think it is definately worth the effort.

All the best,

Lara

We use a vibrating tooth brush as well. We also use toothette mouth swabs all the time with Ben.We use a mouth wash for dry mouth as he breathes thru his mouth. It is called biotene and will dip the toothette in and use it to help with cleaning his mouth/teeth.     We get them on line and they work great.  Ben does really well at the dentist but it works best if he sits in the dentist chair and then he sits on me. Pretty funny but it works.
